A constantly full ice bin is a dream, but a persistently empty one might indicate trouble in paradise, or more precisely, trouble in your ice maker.
No Ice Making
- Empty Ice Bin
If your ice maker isn’t producing any ice at all, even after a significant amount of time.
- Slow Ice Production
A significant decrease in ice production compared to normal
- Small or Oddly Shaped Ice Cubes
If your ice maker is producing ice, but the cubes are significantly smaller than usual or have strange shapes.
Water Issues
- No Water Supply
If the ice maker isn’t receiving water, it can’t produce ice.
- Leaking Water
Water leaks around the ice maker itself could signify a faulty water inlet valve or a cracked ice maker line.
- Freezer Not Cold Enough
Ice makers rely on the surrounding freezer temperature to freeze the water. If your freezer isn’t maintaining a sufficiently cold temperature, it will impact ice production.
